Chamber Music Institute

For two weeks, GLFM’s prestigious Chamber Music Institute will welcome 24 emerging professional participants from around the world to learn from and perform with esteemed faculty, focusing on the specialized art of chamber music. CMI Program Director Beth Oakes returns with Salley Koo, violin; Jesse Holstein, violin/viola; and Andrew Janss, cello. New to the faculty this year are Annie Fullard, violin; Gregory Sauer, cello; and Shawn Okpebholo, composer (GLFM’s 2025 Composer-in-Residence). CMI ensembles will perform throughout the region in multiple venues.

Fees/Admission

Applications are reviewed on a first come, first served basis. Individual applications will be reviewed after all required materials are received. Apply early, applications received by March 1st with a deposit paid within 30 days of acceptance are eligible for the maximum scholarship offers.

Accepted applicants must be 18 years of age or older at the start of the institute in order to participate.

Generous Scholarships are available and everyone accepted into the program will receive some degree of scholarship support. All application fees have been waived. Payment instructions will be given upon acceptance into the program.
