Founded two decades ago in Chicago, the Henhouse Prowlers have evolved from a bluegrass quartet into a global force blending performance, diplomacy, and education. Known for their electrifying live shows and introspective albums—such as 2023’s *Lead and Iron*—the band explores personal experiences through intricate instrumentation and a unique bluegrass foundation. Partnering with the U.S. State Department and their own nonprofit, Bluegrass Ambassadors, they’ve toured over 25 countries, using American roots music to connect cultures through concerts, workshops, and educational programs. Whether onstage or teaching abroad, the Prowlers unite people through the universal language of music.
