BOARD MEMBER JOB DESCRIPTION
 
 Mission Statement: Habitat for Humanity serving Green Lake, Marquette, and Waushara Counties Affiliate Works in partnership with families in greatest need first, without favoritism or discrimination, to construct simple, decent, and affordable houses together. We will sell houses at no profit or interest and use payments to build more homes. We do this to demonstrate the love and teachings of Jesus Christ by providing a way to share with those in need.
 
Length of the Term: The length of the appointment is 1 or 2 years, allowing for a
                                     rotation system to ensure a healthy exchange of new ideas.
 
Responsibilities:        Board Members are responsible for attending all meetings of the board
of directors of Habitat for Humanity serving Green Lake, Marquette, and Waushara Counties unless excused and for attending an annual board member retreat or planning meeting. This is a mandatory meeting of board members because of the oversight responsibilities.
 
Participate actively on at least one committee of Habitat for Humanity serving Green Lake, Marquette, and Waushara Counties.
 
Commit a financial contribution from personal resources each year according to his/her means with a goal of 100% participation.
 
Actively develop resources for Habitat for Humanity serving Green Lake, Marquette, and Waushara Counties from current or prospective funders by direct contact with orchestration staff; each board member will set their own goal for $ and/or in-kind contributions.
