Green Lake 13dot1 Marathon, 5K, & 10K

Good news for Green Lake area runners and walkers: the Green Lake Half Marathon, 10k, and 5k will return in September for the first time in three years.
The newly formed board of directors is passionate about promoting health and wellbeing and is excited to bring back this event to the community.
Runners and walkers participating in the event this year can expect a few changes to the race from years past. Green Lake Area 13dot1 is partnering with the Town Square Community Center to have the race start and finish at Mill Pond Terrace. Activities and live music will be provided at the finish line for runners and spectators to enjoy. Another change this year will be to the race course itself. Runners and walkers can expect brand new half marathon, 10k and 5k race routes that will provide runners with views of the lake, as well as showcasing more of the city of Green Lake itself.
Another addition this year is that proceeds from the race will be dedicated to a scholarship fund. This scholarship will be awarded to a 2024 area high school senior who has plans of entering the health and wellness industry.
The 2023 race will be Sunday, Sept. 3. The half marathon run will start at 8 a.m. and the 10k and 5K run/walks will begin at 8:15 a.m. The Half is a run while the 10K and 5K are being promoted as run/walk. We ask that those registering for the half marathon maintain a running pace. Walkers are encouraged to participate in the 10K or 5K. We hope to see at the start line for the race that's the best fit for you!

Those who aren?t interested in running or walking the Green Lake Area 13dot1 but would still like to support the cause may consider becoming a volunteer for the event. The board of directors is looking for race day volunteers to assist at water stations & the finish line, help with traffic control and to serve as course marshals.
