Angler Young Angler Fishing Tounament

For many children in the Green Lake area, the annual Angler & Young Angler Fishing Tournament on Big Green Lake marks the opening of fishing season. It serves as the foundation to happy memories of spending time on the water with family and friends that will last a lifetime. The goal of this event is “to promote the Green Lake community and the great outdoors by introducing youth to the sport of fishing on Big Green Lake.” Each team consists of one adult angler and up to two young anglers, ages 4 to 17. From the 8:30am blast-off to the 3:30pm weigh-in, young anglers spend time fishing with fathers, mothers or mentors exploring the waters in search of the right combination of 5 smallmouth bass needed to take first place.
