SUMMARY:Live Music: Tinsley Ellis 2025
DESCRIPTION:Veteran blues guitarist\, singer\, and songwriter Tinsley Ellis explores a new musical direction with his first-ever solo acoustic album\, *Naked Truth*. Known for over four decades of fiery\, electric blues-rock\, Ellis now pays homage to folk blues traditions with influences from Muddy Waters to Leo Kottke. Recorded live with his cherished 1969 Martin D-35 and 1937 National Steel guitars\, *Naked Truth* reveals Ellis's raw\, soulful side\, blending nine original songs and four introspective instrumentals\, including a cover of Kottke's *A Soldier's Grave On The Prairie*. From the haunting "Devil In The Room" to the humorous "Grown Ass Man\," Ellis's gruff vocals and intricate guitar work bring an unvarnished intimacy to each track. Having performed over 100 solo shows in the last year\, Ellis continues to tour\, sharing this new sound with fans across North America.\n\n\n\nThis event is supported by a grant from the Oshkosh Area Community Foundation\, Green Bay Packers Foundation\, and the Wisconsin Arts Board\, with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts.
